Pure Science for Guaranteed Results

Following is the range of tests that we conduct for our clients at the time of joining and every month thereafter. We challenge you to find one gym in Indore that has such an exhaustive testing procedure for their clients benefit!

  • Body Fat % Test
  • Posture Analysis
  • Muscle Strength Imbalance Test
  • Muscle Strength Test
  • Heart Health Test
Body Fat % Test
Body Fat test

This test tells you how much fat you have in your body, how much fat you have lost and how much lean body mass you have gained since the last time you were tested.

In short, this is your progress report. This is your result. This is why you join any gym. This test is the final proof whether your gym is giving you results or not.

In other gyms, most clients don't even know that there is such a facility available to check your fat loss. If you want to know how much fat you have lost, you have to yourself take the initiative to approach the gym and ask them to test your fat loss. To add insult to injury, at the end of it, the gym charges you anything upto Rs. 500/- every time you want to know how much fat you have lost!!

You won't find any gym taking the initiative to test you for the results that you have or have not achieved because this will immediately tell you whether the gym is good or not! That is scary for the gym as then, they will have to consistently perform and give all the clients results or they will soon be out of business!

Isn’t it strange? Why do you pay a gym? Is it just for joining that gym or for losing fat and gaining lean body mass? Of course for losing fat and gaining lean body mass! Then why do you have to take the effort to personally approach the gym just to see how much fat you have lost and how much lean body mass you have gained?

At the end of it, why do you even have to pay upto Rs. 500/- for the test when you have already paid the gym to ensure that you get these results?! Would you be needed to do this with any other service provider? NOT AT ALL!

There is no such service or product on this planet where you are required to pay above and beyond what you have already paid, just to check if the product is indeed good or not, if the service is indeed as per what you have been assured. The following are just 2 examples to make you think about this:

  • When you give your car for servicing, you pay to get your vehicle serviced. At the end of the process, if the service center charges you money for checking if they have done a good job for what you are paying them to do, for what they were actually supposed to do anyway, what will you do? Will you pay?

  • Suppose you want to get a house constructed. After the house is constructed, does your builder or contractor charge you extra money for you to check if the builder has indeed built the house as per your requirements? And if he asks you for the money, what will you do? Will you pay?

Then why are you required to personally approach and then also pay the gym to see if they are doing their job or not, if they are indeed giving you what you have already paid them for - to make you lose weight, lose fat and increase your lean body mass?

Here at RAY Gym, we will take your test every 7 days without you needing to personally approach us or pay us anything extra! After all it is your right to know what results you are getting and whether we are giving you the results that we promised you will get when you joined us!

We don’t charge you anything for this test nor do we expect you to approach us for it because we are not doing you a favour on you by taking this test. Instead, we are holding ourselves accountable and proving that we have full confidence in delivering results. That the money that you paid and the time and energy you spent at RAY Gym is giving you what you wanted.

And we promise you that you will lose atleast 1 kg fat every 14 days (in the guaranteed result package), provided you follow what we say. Let us add that every week, at least 85% of RAY Gym clients get results!

Posture Analysis
Posture test

We test our clients for kyphosis, scoliosis, lordosis, flat back, forward neck, flat foot and scapula alata.

We have found that about 75% of people suffer from some postural issue. That is a lot of people! And if you have any postural issue you might get a serious injury while exercising.

Not only do we take this test, we also give you specific exercises for the issues that you might have and also test you once every month (at no extra cost) to see how much you are improving!

Muscle Strength Imbalance Test

We test your entire body for any muscular strength imbalances that you might have. These imbalances can aggravate risk of injury and also reduce your performance.

DID YOU KNOW: EVERY PERSON THAT RAY GYM HAS TESTED SO FAR HAS HAD MUSCLE IMBALANCES!

We were able to find these imbalances and work on them because we tested people at the time of joining. Most gyms don’t even test their clients for any of these imbalances. So they don’t even know how many of their clients have these imbalances, thus exposing their clients to serious risk of injury.

At RAY Gym, not only did our clients become aware of their imbalances, they were also given proper exercise prescription to help overcome the imbalances and the inherent risk of injury! Again, we take this test every month (at no extra cost) to see how much our clients are improving.

Strength Tests

We take strength tests for each and every muscle of each and every client every 4 weeks to know how much stronger they have become and what results they have achieved.

We then methodically calculate exactly what intensity should our clients exercise at for each and every exercise, every day, every set, for maximum results!

Heart Health Test

On the 10th of every month we check all of our clients for the response of their diastolic blood pressure to exercise. In case any abnormality crops up, we immediately ask the client to consult a doctor of his or her own choice, and if the doctor thinks that the deviation is serious enough, he can suggest some more tests to our clients under his or her supervision and advise accordingly.

The conditions that we test for in this test are (through abnormal deviations in the diastolic pressure during exercise):

Ischemic Left Ventricular Dysfunction
Deterioration of Myocardial Function
Unstable Hypertension

Special Population We Work With

Other conditions that we have work with almost on a daily basis are:

A healthy, fit and strong body is essential for a person to enjoy life in a totally energized manner. in order to enhance your fitness levels, 3 things are of utmost importance -

  • correct exercise plan
  • correct nutrition plan
  • correct rest/recovery plan

Correct Exercise Plan

Which is a better form of exercise : aerobics (running, walking etc.), resistance training (weights, calisthenics etc.), or flexibility training (yoga etc.)?

To be brutally honest, all forms of exercises cannot be compared to each other in any way, because every exercise form is different, used for different goals and yields different results! Can you really compare which is better - Apples or Oranges? Or a Porsche or a Ferrari?

Correct Exercises

Each has its own strengths and weaknesses.

The trick is to find out what one’s goals are, decide the training protocol that will lead there - and do it! But, there is something called as Principle of Individual Differences. This Principle says that everybody responds to an exercise protocol in a different way and so the exercise program must and should be modified for each individual according to his genetics for maximum benefit.

Do you remember the show, BIGGEST LOSER JEETEGA? Everybody did the same exercise and ate the same kind of food, yet only one emerged as the winner! This is Principle of Individual Differences in real life!

How will you ensure that you will be the winner in your life and in your goals? With this principle coming in the picture:

  • How will you decide what frequency, intensity, volume and type of exercise you need to do to get max results?
  • How much of anaerobic exercise at what % of Rep Max?
  • How much time should your muscles spend under peak tension?
  • How much of aerobic training at what heart rate should you train?
  • How much to stretch and how to avoid injuries arising out of over-stretching?

You surely don’t want to under-train, and certainly not over-train and under-recover! How will you decide the right frequency, intensity, type of exercise and duration of exercise to get optimum results and yet not risk injury?

This is where RAY Gym can be of help to you. At RAY Gym, we are not searching for that ONE person to lose the most weight! 85% of all our clients consistently and continuously get their results EVERY week.

Like all our clients, you too can benefit by our in-depth knowledge and expertise to get optimum results at a much faster pace without wasting your valuable time, money, and effort on trial-and-error experimenting and unproductive exercise routines and diet fads.

You can just enjoy your workouts without worrying about the technicalities of training and be assured that your goals will be achieved at RAY Gym.

Correct Nutrition Plan

How many of you exercise or want to exercise to get stronger or lose weight? And how many of you know people who have got injured because of exercising?

Let me share with you an insider’s secret – nobody gets stronger by exercising! In fact everybody – yes, EVERYBODY – gets injured because of exercise…

Shocking, right? Yes it is, and the truth follows – it is called The Supercompensation Principle.

In layman terms what it means is that you will never get stronger or lose weight or fat during exercise. While lifting weights, or running, or stretching, you basically load your muscles and bones with a stress which that body part is not accustomed to. This causes micro-injuries, called micro-trauma in that part.

Now when your muscles get rest BETWEEN 2 workout sessions, they recover (super-compensate) from the trauma and you become stronger, or you lose weight and fat, provided your muscles get the correct amounts of calories wih the optimum ratio of macronutrients at the right time interval.

This is a little more detailed than just downing your favorite protein drink as soon as you keep your weights down! For example, did you know that you might need different calorie intakes on all the 7 days a week depending on your daily activity and exercise selection? And did you know that you lose the most fat on the day that you do not exercise, rather on the days of intense exercise?

Your muscles should get the correct nutrition at the time they need it, or your body will not recover completely from the microtrauma.

Microtrauma + microtrauma + microtrauma = Macrotrauma, also known as Injury!

This is probably why most people give up exercising within a month of joining a gym! Their bodies simply don't recover from the onslaught of exercise and they end up injuring themselves!

Correct Nutrition

This is where correct nutrition comes in. Nutrition is all about the study of food and how our bodies use food as fuel for growth and daily activities. Thus correct nutrition becomes an important factor in maintaining optimum health and achieving your fitness goals – injury-free! How do you ensure that you are getting the right amounts of calories on a day to day basis, with the optimum macronutrient ratios at the time that your muscles need, so that you can achieve your goals of weight loss, inch loss, fat loss, or body building?

Now stop worrying about your nutritional requirements. Let a Specialist in Performance Nutrition from ISSA, USA, take that worry off you so that you can make your workout a pleasurable and fun activity!

Click here if you want to have a look at one of the plans. This plan is only for one day. Each day of the week, you get a different plan, so that you get variety in food, taste and also various vitamins and minerals without starving!

Correct Rest / Recovery plan

Now you are training. You are eating properly. But the third aspect – rest is still missing. How much rest to give to your muscles?

You’ve been introduced to 2 out of 7 granddaddy laws so far – The Principle of Individual Differences and The Supercompensation Principle. Let’s know in brief 2 more laws to understand the importance of rest/recovery. One is the Use/Disuse Principle and the General Adaptive Syndrome.

Use/Disuse Principle says that you use it or you lose it!

General Adaptive Syndrome says that after a period of high intensity exercise, periods of low intensity exercise should follow. The following is the schematic representation of GAS law:

The time between workouts - which includes both recovery and super-compensation processes will vary depending upon individual recuperative ability, efficient use of supplements, diet, rest and other restorative techniques, size and type of muscle, severity of the over load (especially the severity of the eccentric phase of muscle contraction), and gender and age.(source: ISSA CFT manual, 7th edition)

If you train at “A”, your body is still recovering at “B” and so a training session during this time will be too early. “C” is the perfect time to overload your muscles again, and “D” is training too late as the muscles have started losing the training effect due to Use/Disuse Principle coming into play.

So, it means that if you don’t give enough rest to your muscles (B), you risk injury. If you give more than sufficient rest (D), you get less than optimum results.

Consider the following too-

  • Large muscle groups recover more slowly than smaller muscle groups.
  • Fast-twitch (white) muscle fibers recover more slowly than slow-twitch (red) muscle fibers.
  • Recovery from fast movements takes longer than does recovery from slow movements.
  • Men recover more quickly than women.
  • Young clients recover more quickly than older clients.
  • Using heavy weights requires more recovery time than using lighter heights.
  • More repetitions, sets and frequency require longer recovery periods than do fewer repetitions, sets and frequency.

PHEW!

Not a worry! Allow Amit Sharma, who ranks amongst the best ISSA trainers globally, and his highly trained team, to assist you.

With their combined expertise, they can design a custom made plan that gives you the correct intensity, volume, and type of exercise, correct nutrition, and correct amount of rest between exercise sessions, so that you achieve your cherished goals - may that be to lose weight, or lose inches, or to build that awesome body with a 6 pack, or just general fitness!

That is why our Clients call RAY Gym as the most scientific gym in Indore!
