Guidelines for measurements

Procedure for males

  • Measure your neck below your adam's apple, looking straight.
  • Make sure the tape is as parallel to ground as possible, yet you need to measure only your neck. Make sure you don't include your upper back muscles in your effort to make tape as parallel to ground as possible.
  • The tape should be snug. Not too tight or loose.
  • Measure your abdomen at navel, at normal exhalation, with feet together. The tape should be parallel to ground.
  • The tape should be snug. Not too tight or lose. Make sure you factor in the folds of your clothes.

Procedure for females -

  • Measure your neck at it's base, looking straight.
  • Make sure the tape is as parallel to ground as possible, yet you need to measure only your neck. Make sure you don't include your upper back muscles in your effort to make tape as parallel to ground as possible. The tape should be snug. Not too tight or lose.
  • Measure your waist at the smallest area. Take three measurements and take the smallest measurement. The tape should be snug. Not too tight or lose. Make sure you factor in the folds of your clothes.
  • Measure yourself at the widest area of your hips, with feet joined. Tape should be snug. Not too tight or lose. Make sure you factor in the folds of your clothes.
